The Nifty Pharma index was trading higher by 1% during Thursday’s
trade. Cadila Healthcare was the top gainer of the index and the stock
was trading up by over 4%.
The Nifty Pharma index was trading at 8,952.25 level, up by 54.95
points or 0.62% as at 1245 hours on Thursday. Cadila Healthcare was
trading at Rs 514.35 per share, up by Rs 20.10 or 4.07%. It attracted a
traded volume of 16,49,453 shares and traded value of Rs 8,336.67 lakh
on the NSE.
Among other pharma majors, Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd. was
trading higher by 1.41% at Rs 480.95, Divi’s Laboratories was up 0.95%
at Rs 705.45, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories was up 0.75% at Rs 2,213.40,
Lupin was up 0.66% at Rs 977.80.
Meanwhile, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Aurobindo Pharma, GlaxoSmithKline
Pharmaceuticals, and Cipla were trading in red territory.
Nifty was trading at 9,928.10 level, up by 11.90 points or 0.12%. The
Nifty Pharma index has underperformed and has lost almost 23.4% in last
one year. While Nifty has risen about 11.3% in last one year..
