HDFC Bank has revised its savings bank interest rate. Post revision, customers maintaining savings bank account balance of Rs 50 lakh and above will continue to earn interest at 4% per annum. Customers maintaining an account balance of below Rs 50 lakh will earn interest at 3.5% per annum as against the previous rate of 4%.
The revised rates will be applicable to both Resident and Non-resident customers and will be effective from August 19, 2017, said the bank in a BSE filing on Thursday.
HDFC Bank was trading at Rs 1774.15 per share, down by Rs 6.25 or 0.35% as at 1024 hours on Thursday, on the BSE.
The stock attracted traded volume of 1,69,051 shares and traded value of Rs 2,998.27 lakh on the NSE..
