Tata Motors extends losses; M-cap down by Rs 10,150 crore

 Selling pressure in Tata Motors still persists in the afternoon hours taking it to further lower levels. The stock has touched its fresh 52-week low of Rs 380.7 per share, down by Rs 35.35 per share or 8.49% as of 1341 hours on Thursday.

The total traded volume in the stock stood at 2,09,11,847 shares and traded value of Rs 816.04 crore. The stock is still top contributor to the losses of Nifty and Sensex. Nifty Auto index was trading at 10,655 level, down by 269 points or 2.47%. Many other auto stocks are also trading in negative territory, down by more than 1%.

Tata Motors’ full market capitalisation as of August 9, 2017 stood at Rs 1,20,330 crore on BSE with respect to previous close of Rs 416.75 per share. However, the company has lost around Rs 10,150 crore in its market capitalisation during Thursday's trade.

 Stock View:

Tata Motors Ltd is currently trading at Rs 384.75, down by Rs 32 or 7.68% from its previous closing of Rs 416.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 399.9 and has touched a high and low of Rs 404 and Rs 381.6 respectively. So far 24039703(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 132653.8 crore.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 598.6 on 07-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs 415 on 09-Aug-2017. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 441.6 and Rs 415 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.73 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.59 % and 25.68 % respectively.

The stock is currently trading below its 200 DMA..
