Nifty has been hovering around its previous close of 9,794 level. Sensex also has been witnessing choppy trade in morning hour on Wednesday.
HDFC, Tata Global Beverages and ITC were top three most active stocks in terms of value on NSE as of 1027 hours on Wednesday. Tata Global Beverages touched its fresh 52-week high of Rs 191.8 per share, up by over 7%. ITC has been witnessing strong upward movement. The stock touched its intraday high of Rs 278.4 per share, up by 2.63%.
There were 1,012 advances, 548 declines and 394 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting strong positive sentiments floating in the market. On the broader markets, BSE Mid-cap index was trading at 15,180 level, up by 0.58% while BSE Small-cap index was trading at 15,497 level, up by 0.58%.
Nifty50 index has immediate resistance placed in the region of 9,830-9,850, and if it holds above this resistance zone, the next resistance is placed around 9,900-9,920. On the downside, immediate support is pegged at the level of 9,770 and the next support is placed around the level of 9,730..
