Benchmark indices are slipping in trade shedding morning gains. Broader market indices are marginally trading in positive territory.

Nifty bank index is trading at its day’s low slipping 0.49% at 24,317 level.

BSE Telecom index is one of the major gainers among sectoral indexes. The index is up 1.39% at 1408 level.

Bharti Airtel is majorly contributing to index gains and is trading up 2.10% at Rs 415.20 per share.
Aksh Optifibre is also up 6.93% at Rs 27.00 per share.

On the contrary, OnMobile Global is down 1.73% at Rs 59.65 per share.

At 12 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,784 up 13 points, while Nifty is trading at 9907 up 9 points. A total of 37 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 23 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.05% at 15,290, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.65% at 15,712.

Some buying activity is seen in Healthcare, Industrials, IT and Capital Goods indices, while Auto, Bankex and FMCG indices are showing weakness on BSE.

Vedanta, Coal India and Infosys are among the gainers, whereas Hindustan Unilever, Cipla and IndusInd Bank are losing on the NSE.

The INDIA VIX is up 1.9% at 14.5..
