Markets are trading strong in positive territory showcasing an uptrend on the bourses. Broader market indices are also gaining over 1.5%
Nifty Bank also gained over 180 points or 0.76% at 24,168 level. IDFC is the top index gainer soaring 2.63% at Rs 54.65 per share on NSE.
BSE Realty is the top gaining index in the morning session on Monday. It is up by 3.40% at 2027. DLF is contributing majorly to the index gains and pulling it to higher levels.
DLF is trading higher by 8.04% at Rs 167.90 per share on BSE. Prestige Estates Projects also gained 3.28% at Rs 263.00 per share.
On the contrary, HDIL is the only loser in the index slipping over 1.8% at Rs 57.30 per share.
At 10 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,444 up 230 points, while Nifty is trading at 9782 up 72 points. A total of 10 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 28 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 1.61% at 14,963 while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 1.93% at 15,326.
Some buying activity is seen in Energy, FMCG and Finance indices, while IT, Telecom and Teck indices are showing weakness on BSE.
AdaniPorts and SEZ, Cipla and Tata Steel are among the gainers while BPCL, Bharti Airtel and Infosys are losing on the NSE.
